Photo Selection

Photos can speak volumes and communicate important concepts to your customers in the blink of an eye.  Stock images, custom photography, or a combination of both can be used to add these visual elements.

Stock Images

Often, a good way to get your message across is with images from a professional photographer.  Of course, hiring one and setting up a photo shoot is not an option every time you want to express an idea visually.

That's where stock images come in handy.  They allow you to get the perfect image you are looking for at a fraction of the cost.  At Lotus Petal Designs, we often use images from iStockphoto.

On the right is an example of a stock image used on a page of this site.  We chose it because it conveyed the idea we were looking for and also fit the color palette of our site.  We are located in the suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland and this is an image of the Inner Harbor at sunset.

Custom Photos

There are times when hiring a professional photographer is well worth the expense.  When you hire a professional, we can use the images they create to show off your products or creations in ways that really let customers see what you can do.  For example, Amy Broker has used professionals to get some amazing pictures of her design work (see example below).

Photo Editing

Need some photos retouched so you can add them to your website or newsletter?   Lotus Petal Designs can provide digital photo editing services such as color balancing, light correction, and removing minor flaws from images.

We can also create photo collages, add effects, and can even reconstruct missing portions of photos in some instances.
